Co-Brand Your Gustav

Gustav Co Branding

At Gustav, we understand the importance of branding for businesses. That's why we offer our business customers the opportunity to customize their Gustav toolbox with laser-cut logos that represent their brand. In this blog post, we will guide you through the process of creating custom laser-cut logos for your Gustav toolbox.

Fast and Easy Process

  1. Customer Logo: Customer to provide logo (e.g. jpg, eps, svg)
  2. Initial Mock-up & design options: To begin, we will use your customer logo to create an initial mock-up and design options for your laser-cut logo. Along with the mock-up, we will provide a quote for the custom logo based on your requirements.
  3. Production Drawings: Once the mock-up is approved, our team will create CAD production drawings. It's essential to provide your logo as a vector file format such as EPS, AI, or SVG.

  4. Production: With the approved production drawings, we will manufacture the custom logo for you. The typical production time for this process is 10-15 working days. First, we will cut the logo out of raw aluminium using our laser-cutting technology. Then, we will powder coat the custom-branded aluminium panels.

Individual Logo Pricing

The pricing for a custom logo is determined by the overall quantity, size of the logo, and length of the logo outline. We price each logo individually based on these factors.

    • Quantity: Generally, we require a minimum quantity of 10 units to cover the initial design and setup costs.

    • Logo Complexity and Outline: Some logos are more intricate and have longer outlines. The longer the outline, the more time the laser will need to cut out the logo.

    Technical Requirements and Considerations

Before proceeding with the laser-cutting process, it's important to consider a few technical constraints:

    1. Connected or "No Islands": All parts of the logo need to be connected. Since we cut the logo out of the aluminium, all elements of the logo must be connected.

    2. Bridges and Logo Adjustment: As part of our design services, we may need to make adjustments to your logo to ensure technical feasibility. For example, if your logo has letters like "O" or "R" with enclosed spaces, we will need to connect them using a "bridge" with a minimum width of 1 mm.

    3. Avoiding Weak Connections: Sometimes, certain parts of a logo may be extremely thin. To prevent deformation or bending in or outwards of these parts, we may suggest the use of additional bridges.

    4. Positioning: When positioning the logo, you have two options: (A) placing it over the wood frame or (B) placing it over the wooden cut-out.

    (A) If you choose to position the logo over the wooden frame, the oak texture will remain visible underneath. This method not only allows the logo to blend harmoniously with the wood, but it also enhances the structural integrity of the logo. By placing it over the frame, you eliminate the possibility of pushing or distorting any parts of the logo.
    (B) On the other hand, if you opt to position the logo over the cut-out, it will appear as if the logo is seen through. This creates a visually intriguing effect and allows the logo to interact with the surrounding elements, providing a unique aesthetic appeal.
    (C) Avoid the edge: The logo can't be placed over the edge of the wooden frame.

By following these guidelines, you can ensure a successful laser-cutting process for your custom logos on Gustav toolboxes.
